Your life changed.
Now what?
Who am I now? What do I even want? Is it too late? If you’re asking these questions, you’re not the only one. I work with women who are finding their own way back into their lives.
You are still in there.
Empowerment is not only about leaving a life that no longer fits. Sometimes it is about learning how to stand in a life that changed around you, and discovering that you are still in there. That is the work we do together.
Find your footing
Who are you outside of the roles everyone knows you for? Notice the strength you already have, and ask, honestly, what you want, maybe for the first time in years.
Make the next decision
Not knowing where to start is normal. Changing your life isn’t one decision. It’s a hundred small ones. We focus on the next one, at a pace you can keep.
Lift as you rise
Once you’re standing, learn to stand with other women too, without disappearing into everyone else’s needs again.
This is for you if…
You were happy, or you weren’t. Either way, you belong here. And if you’ve thought you were the only one who feels this way, you’re not.
- you’re not sure who you are anymore, outside of being a wife, a mother, or the one everybody counts on
- a death, a divorce you did not want, or a too-quiet house has changed everything
- you’ve felt alone, even with people all around you
- you give and give, and wonder who will show up for you
- wanting something for yourself feels selfish
- you keep asking whether it’s too late. It isn’t.
Support to move forward. Accountability to keep you going.
Knowing what you want to change is one thing. Following through when everyday life takes over can be harder.
Together, we choose realistic next steps toward what matters to you. When we meet again, we talk about what you tried, what you discovered, and where you could use support.
Think of me as your new BFF—someone in your corner who cheers you on, believes in you, and remembers what you said you wanted for yourself. The one who lovingly asks, “So, did you have that conversation—or are we still rehearsing it in the shower?”
You don’t have to impress me or pretend you have everything figured out. There’s room to laugh, be honest, and say, “I wasn’t ready.” We’ll explore what got in the way and decide where to go from there.
I’ll hold you accountable with kindness, encouragement, and honest conversation, while respecting that the choices—and the pace—are yours.
Sessions are online, in English, wherever you are in the world.

Discovering Who You Are After Loss, Change, and Everything in Between
For women who have spent so much time looking after everybody else that they are no longer sure what they want for themselves, and for women whose lives changed in ways they never chose.
Written as a conversation, not a lecture. Read it straight through or begin with the chapter that meets you where you are. Each chapter ends with questions called Take the Pen, and the book closes with a full workbook and reflection journal.
- Part OneEmpowering Yourself: finding the strength you already have, and knowing it’s not too late
- Part TwoEmpowering Others: lifting as you rise, and the lie that there is room for only one

Hello, I’m Deanna.
Deanna Hodges, MBA, MA
I grew up in the South, where children were meant to be seen and not heard. At the same time, my daddy was teaching me to stand on my own two feet and not take nonsense from anybody.
For years I carried both of those girls with me: the one who had learned when to be quiet, and the one who knew how to stand up for herself. Eventually I began to wonder whose voice I was obeying when I kept mine down.
Today I’m an author, coach, and mentor to girls and women, working with clients online wherever they are in the world. I had people who helped me at crucial moments. What I longed for was a mentor who would stay long enough to know me and tell me the truth. That’s the kind of mentor I try to be.
I hold an MBA and an MA in International Business, both earned with honors. My coaching also draws on years of building businesses, navigating change, and beginning again.
What happened to you belongs in your story, but it does not have to make all your choices for you.
